A Lost Tooth

Walker has lost his first tooth.

Both lower front teeth have been loose - the permanent teeth are broken through and are well on their way up. One tooth became looser and looser and looser until it was barely hanging on. It sure looked uncomfortable to me.

At school, the teacher noticed the tooth was sitting perpendicular to his gumline, so it was sure to fall out soon. She told Walker he could swallow the tooth - so he allowed her to assist and the tooth came right out (she said she barely touched it). Walker called from school, he was so excited. The tooth came home in a special container - how proud he was.

The next morning Walker woke up to find a golden dollar and a "Tooth Tunes" tooth brush on his bedside table. Wow!

Happy Birthday Reese

My big boy turns 15 today. Happy birthday Reese! This is us 15 years ago

Reese decided to celebrate with a sushi dinner. We went to a Japanese restaurant with our family where we ate in a private room with soshi screens, taking our shoes off before we entered. Reese thououghly enjoyed it.

Following dinner we went to my parent's house for cake and ice cream. Walker and Bryce stayed there during dinner and enjoyed Chick-Fil-A while we ate sushi. They sure do love each other!

Reese's big gift was Guitar Hero. I cannot say that I am loving the music.

Spring Break

Spring Break week here and we have been busy. Keeping the kids energized and with activities is a job.

Monday
I had a lunch date so Reese babysat. I already cannot remember today's activity

Tuesday
Bryce spent the day with us. We met our Echidnas friends for bowling. The kids and adults had a great time. Great choice for the day because the rain outside was coming down in buckets

Wednesday
Cici's pizza for lunch, followed to a trip to the bookstore.

Thursday
Off to the rec center to again meet our Echidnas friends. Playing in the game room and swimming was great for everyone. Walker swam independently for the first time! He finally found some confidence

Friday
Here we are today. We are going to catch a movie

It is going to be hard to wake up for school on Monday!

I am not gone....

But where have I been? Hmmm.....

The whole family has been ill. Walker and Reese with severe colds followed by sinus infections. Don was diagnosed with a sinus infection along with a bad cold and possible virus. Seemed more like the flu. He is still not 100%. Me, I was only slowed down by a cold - the mom cannot be sick! I have sadly missed my walking date for almost two weeks! I am hopeful to be back today.

My neighbor talked me into babysitting for her while her sitter is on a leave of absence. "The baby is easy - no trouble at all, she can go where you go". Only 5 hours a day for easy mad money! Ummm, why oh why did I think I could do that? The baby was sick and attached to me the entire time. After 1.5 weeks I was done. Fortunately for both of us, we were able to find another temporary sitter and I was released.

I have a new record for hours spent at the elementary school. I was selected to chair a fundraiser at school. I was never asked - someone just announced that I was co-chairing without asking me! I had volunteered to create a flier - quite different than chairing!!!! The fundraiser turned out to be a huge success rasing over $5,000 for our PTA.
