Three more days of school and this year is done. Actually 2.5 days because the kids are done at noon on Wednesday.
We spent the afternoon at the pool with Reese's Chess Club. The kids had fun, but after three hours I was done. Walker is not a confident swimmer, but had no desire to be anywhere near me. He was happy to bounce his head above water and walk through the pool. Fortunately, most of it is about 3.5 feet deep. I would have been so much more confortable and happy had he stayed in the more shallow part of the pool.

Furniture
My family has the worst luck with furniture. We just bought a new sofa - our third one in nine years. Yes, our sofas last only an average of three years each. How much does that suck?
Our first selection was a leather sofa. We shopped and shopped and selected one from a leather store - not too cheap but nowhere near the top of the line expensive. Big dog, cat, kids - it looked like hell in no time. Accompanying the sofa was an expensive overstuffed, down chair from Storehouse. The big beautiful chair - also uncomfortable.
Our next selection was a huge sectional sofa. Comfortable with room for everyone and more. Don immediately selected the attached chase on the end. Only problem is the only way to sit on the chase is to scooch in. Eventually the fabric wore away from all the scooching in. Back pillows were attached and the seat cushions fit into one spot only. Cannot rotate pillows from the frequently sat upon to the rarely sat upon. Apparently, it also eats our most valuable possessions. No wonder Walker can never find his stylus.

We shopped for our third selection. The salesperson informed us that furniture these days is disposeable. She did not have to tell me that!
